Madison Lake Boat Launches

Taking advantage of the lakes requires you  to know where they are.  All of the boat landings for Madison lakes have their pros and cons. Some you should stay away from  at all costs, some are better depending on your boat type.

Example: If you are a jet skiing on Lake Monona we HIGHLY recommend you don’t launch your jet ski from the auxiliary boat launch on the Northern side of Atwood Ave. This is technically part of Ol’brich Park Boat Launch but it’s the overflow lot. Anytime after June15th it will be very difficult to traverse through the slow moving waters out onto the lake without getting clogged with seaweed. The waters here move slowly, and are shallow. This provides the optimum conditions for seaweed to blossom and with the depth being so shallow it easily reaches near the surface where your intake will suck it up.

Lake Mendota (10) – Lake Mendota being the largest of them all has the most boat landings coming in with a total of ten.

lake Monona (4)  – Lake Monona has a total of 4 Public boat launches.

Lake Waubesa (4)

Lake Kegonsa (4) – lo

Lake Wingra (2) – It is important to know that Wingra Lake is a non-motorized lake. No motor driven boats are allowed.

Awesome

These guys are just awesome. We arrived on time and they had us in the water as soon as they could. Couldn't be happier and the price was more than reasonable for flying around a lake at 40+ mph.
